9 Months Already

Our Brooklyn Rose turned 9 months in August and is just growing and exploring like crazy. It is hard to believe that she is going to turn 1 this November. She is 17 lbs. 9oz and 27 in. long. She is definitely not a fast weight gainer, but if you saw her eat you would wonder were it all goes. She now has 5 teeth and working on the 6th one. B started crawling at 8 months and has been non-stop since. She gets into everything and puts everything in her mouth. The word NO is a common word around our house now. She has started to say Momma and tries to say Dada. She is an amazing part of our lives and we could not imagine our house without her. Not a day goes by that she doesn't make us laugh, she has a great personality and already has a little sense of humor. We are so fortunate to both be at home with her and I am extremely grateful to Danny for working so hard to make it possible for me to stay at home. Here are some of the photos Danny took of her for her 9 month picture at the local park in Boise. I don't know why some look grainy, must be because they are just raw photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Always finding something in her hands to examine.

This is a little video of B playing in the water with the sand at Lucky Peak Beach.

Extra Moments!

My Little Jimmy Fan! Love it, this is how she carries the car around.

B so happy she just finished eating Ravioli's. She loves eating anything, but baby food especially of she can feed herself.
Brooklyn's favorite thing to do to Mommy, Ouch!
Daddy seeing if the helmet fits yet, almost! :)
Cheese, such a ham for the camera
Crashed out after our walk
My Marissa, so cute!
Jeanette and I with the B's. Brian loves his "baby" cousin
Oh, Caleb my little buddy!
We were at target looking in the clearance section and Brooklyn was playing dress up with Dani. This is what she created!

And there you have it all caught up, finally! As you can tell we had a busy and fun filled summer.

Picnic Lunch at the Lake

View of Lucky Peak from the beach. Last weekend we decided to go up and have a picinic lunch, we were not to sure how the weather would be, but it turned out great. We watched boats coming and going. It was rare, but nice to have the beach all to ourselves. It was a relaxing afternoon.
Enjoying having the beach all to ourselves.
B loves the water.
I was just going to out her feet in, but she wanted to sit down. Good thing I had extra clothes no time to put the swimsuit on with our water girl.
All smiles with Daddy!

Happy Birthday to ME!

So I turned the big 30, yuck! Now I feel so old. I woke up that morning and my body ached, that's when I knew I just got older. I wanted to go away fro my birthday, but as you can tell we have been having a lot of fun this summer so I decided we should probably not spend the money and stay home. Richard volunteered to watch Brooklyn for us so we took him up on that and had a date night. It has been over 9 months since we have just gone out to dinner only the 2 of us. It was so nice to enjoy a nice dinner at PF Chang's without a little one to deal with. Then we went to the fair and for the cost of admission ($7) we got to see Blake Shelton Live in Concert. Blake Shelton rocking it in Boise, it was a great show!
Marin, Matt, Danny and I having a great time at the concert. Thanks for celebrating with us guys and saving us a spot.

Then to our surprise Miranda Lambert came out signing a song with her boyfriend Blake. So Fun!
These are for you dad some of the animals at the petting zoo. Check out them long horns!
This is an Indu Brazilian Zebu named Joe, it had a huge hump on it's back like a camel. Then to top the night off we had a dipped ice cream cone at Dairy Queen on our way home. All in all not to eventful, but a great evening relaxing and good fun. Thank you to everyone for your birthday wishes, cards, gifts, and flowers. It was a fabulous birthday I felt so loved by all.

Tour De What?

The annual tour de fat was on Saturday, Aug. 22 at Ann Morrison Park, encouraging everyone to leave their cars at home and honor everything bike, sponsored by the New Belgium Brewing Company. The party gets started with the costumed bike parade, which sends riders into the streets of downtown for what organizers call a " rolling carnival of creativity." Danny and I said it is a hippy fest, but fun to people watch. Danny said we should be part of the parade next year, I said only if he wears a dress! At the end of the day they have a funeral procession for the car that someone donates and agrees to give up driving for 1 year. All proceeds are donated to the local bike organization in Boise. B is amazed at all the crazy people walking around!
A song about the environment and recycling, pretty funny! Keeping with Tour de Fat’s environmentally friendly message, performances were done on a solar-powered stage that's decorated with recycled materials and brought to Boise on trucks fueled by biofuel.
Hippie Band #1
Crazy BSU fan just one of the many intersting costumes people wear.
It's a circus alright!
This kid is saying dad it's hard to take you serious when you look like that!
The Incredible family
Some other random goofballs walking around, they were nice enough to pose for us! Someone must not have read the weather report it was in the 90's and people still wore long sleeves and pants. Just adds to the craziness.
Just some of the bikes at the festival
Boise River
Resting on our bike ride back from the park along the river.
As we finished this bike ride, I told DannyI am so glad we live here. Where else can be drive 15 minutes from home, take a nice bike ride along the river and hang out at the park for the day for FREE. We are glad we decided to coem here and have enjoyed palying in the outdoors.

Happy 1st Birthday, Garrett!

Sunday, August 16th Garrett turned 1, wow where has the time gone. It has been great to have such fun neighbors that have a baby close in age with Brooklyn. It has been fun watching them grow. Now that they are both mobile they follow each other around the room, so cute!
Mom I think I feel sick no more sticky frosting for me. He was not really a fan of the cake and yucky frosting stuck in between his fingers.
Pool time

Brooklyn had a great time playing in Garrett's new birthday car. Thanks for sharing G!

Surprise Dinner!

This restaurant is in Eagle, along a little pond. We have always wanted to go here and Kristian surprised us for an early birthday dinner for me! This was our last dinner before they left after 2 weeks of fun. We had such a great time with you guys here and miss you tons. It brought back memories of when we used to hang out all the time in Pico and Whittier. Thank you for coming to visit we had a great time and are so glad for your friendship.
Yummy Smores Ice Cream!
