Easter in Central Oregon

Cousin Kirabella and Brooklyn playing at the park
For Easter Weekend we went ot Bend, OR so Danny coudl go Sage Rat hunting with Uncle Angelo on Saturday adn then we could spend Easter with the family in Oregon. Before we left Brooklyn had another week filled with a fever of 104.6 we took her to the doctor and they did a urine test and throat swab and it all came back negative. Frustrating not knowing why these fevers occur. Luckily she was cleared so we could go to Oregon and not infect the rest of the family. The first night there she slept on Auntie and Uncles bed they each took turns sleeping on the couch so they didn't both hav eto sleep with the wild girl. She is so spoiled and I was too since B got sick from dinner that night and started throwing up and was up most of the night with Auntie. Thank you Auntie for taking such good care of her and Uncle for snuggling with her.
Brooklyn loves to swing, the look on her face is not to sure about going so high, but I think she gets over that quickly!

This is amazing ot me, she used to always be scared to go down slides by herself and when she did she put her feet out ot stop her form going fast, now she goes down huge slides all by herself and has decided to be a climber of everything!

Cousin Joe and Brooklyn playing at the park.

Uncle looks like her is feeling the effects of sleeping with a sick kiddo most of the night. The boys took the girls to the park, so Auntie and I could spend some time together. Thanks boys it was a fun afternoon away.

Friday night Uncle and Auntie surprised us with a gift card and reservations to Pine Tavern so that we could celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary together since Danny and Uncle were going to be hutning on our Anniversary. It was the best night we had great babysitters and got to have a meal without saying sit down, stop that, we are almost done, finish your dinner, etc...
This is why it is called Pine Tavern, the trees are literally in the middle of the restaurant! Yes they are real trees, we had a window seat that viewed the river.  It was beautiful, we took our time and ordered appitizers then waited a while to order our meal. We were there for 2 hours talking and slowly enjoying our dinner, they even gave us free dessert!
This was our view, after dinner we walked around downtown and had forgotten that we had movie tickets to use, we were to late for any of the early movies so we went to the bookstore for a litle bit then went back to the house to hang out with Auntie and Uncle. Thank you so much for the much needed night away, it was such a blessing.

Gotta have the self portrait! Happy Anniversary babe, I hope we have many more years together!

This is what happens when you leave the sprinklers on all night and it gets really cold!

Uncle froze my car!

Close up of the grass, it was so cool looking
At Macy's they had the Easter bunny and you could take pictures with him, well if you were not completely afraid of lage furry animals like Brooklyn is, so instead you pose with the window display.

Look Auntie Eggs!

Lunch with the newest Licitra Family, Deanna, Bell and Joe.
The Easter Bunny came!! I had to get her a choclate bunny because I always wanted one in my Easter basket ( it is currently in the freezer since it was a bit to much chocolate for her to eat at once, I think she really just liked the shiny paper and doesn't even know it is candy.)
Dress up shoes, so fun!
Cool glasses from Auntie Dina

Yum, mom look what I opened a Reeses Peanut Butter Egg

Coloring with Daddy

All Ready for the Easter Egg hunt with Cousin Bella sponsored by Cousin Deanna's Radio station at the bowling alley

Um, no she is not attached to her Uncle..she would be if she could be she loves him!

Stay away from me scarey looking bunny!!

She was off her schedule a bit and had a hard time staying awake for the festivites.

Power nap worked, now time to Bowl

I found a yellow one, they hide something like 800 eggs in the arcade, it was crazy and had 2 golden eggs that you got an extra special basket when you found it.
Oh and see all the ballons on the floor fun, but the kids kept stepping on them to pop them and it was so loud I could not handle it for very long. She got a basket full of eggs adn we were out of there. Brooklyn and Bella dyed easter eggs at Autie's but I do not have those pictures, they had a good time that's all that matters.

It was a great Easter pretty mellow and quiet we had dinner with Auntie, Uncle, there 2 friends and us. Later cousins came over to spend some time with us. It was a wonderful weekend and we were glad we were able to spend the weekend and the holiday with everyone there. Thanks for a great time.

Baseball. Bouncing and a Baptism!

I found this T-ball set at Target on clearance for $2 had to get it, B discovered it in my hiding spot in the closet so we decided to play.
Pitching to daddy
Ready Set GO!
I watched Annde last week so I decided to take the girls to Monkey Bizness to let them get some energy out. As you can tell by the looks on there faces they loved it!
Brooklyn loves to slide at the playground, but lately she has become a bit timid of slides. It took her a while to go down this one and it was small. Guess we will be visiting the park more this Spring/Summer.
Hiking up the huge stairs to go down the big slide. Brooklyn would not go down this one by herself so I had to help her, in the meantime Annde went up and down several times before we went down once.
Had to take a pic all dressed up since we never remember to. We drove to SLC, UT to see my parents and Lucas's Baptism. Hooray!! I hadn't seen them for a year since I went ot see them in London and Brooklyn and Danny had not seen them for 18months. It was great to see them again and spend time with the family.
Caleb got to baptize Lucas he had to try it about 3 times, but he finally said it right and Lucas got dunked! Good job Caleb, we are so proud of you Lucas.
The more serious pose
Ah the Johnson boys!
Grandma and Papa we are so glad you are home. Brooklyn took a little while to warm up to Papa, but she pretty much went right to Grandma which made her happy.
Marissa - had to post this because she didn't want a picture taken and then saw what I took and freaked out! Ha ha Marissa I still love you!
Brooklyn was eating at the big table with the other kids and was taking all the fruit off Grandma's plate thinking she was being so sneaky.
Hey who stole my camera??
I think I know the little someone that loves to take mommy's camera and take pictures like a big girl .
This could be some sort of abstract art with milllions someday!! (we could only wish)
Baby Shelby is getting so big! It was great seeing Jeanette and Shelby too. Danny went with the boys pawn shopping and I went with Marissa and Jeanette shopping while Brooklyn napped it was a nice break for both of us. It was a short weekend, but much needed time with my family. Thank you Cherlyn for hosting all of us, what will we do if you move and get a smaller house?

Prayers

Every night we kneel at Brooklyn's bedside and say our prayers, usually Daddy and Mommy take turns saying the prayer. Brooklyn has decided she wants to now, so it usually sounds like this, "Heavenly Father, bless Andee, Mike, Beth and Scott Amen." That was the first day, now she has included mommy and daddy. Last night daddy was helping her to keep going with grandparents and and being thankful for various things throughout the day and she repeated after him. It was so cute, and sad she is growing up way to fast. It reminded me of primary helping the little kids with talks and prayers, now I have one of my own to help.
It is amazing how quickly they pick up things and are so proud of themselves when they do something.
It will be interesting who she includes in her prayer after this weekend with the family, hopefully more than just our neighbors!
Have a great weekend!

The Latest

As I have been SLOWLY updated my blog from months past I keep seeing my post about Counting my Blessings and feel that I should update my blog readers about the things I posted about.

First - Papa Dale Chitwood had surgery and they removed his upper lobe on his lung it was indeed cancer. They were able to remove all of it and he is Cancer free, he has to continue to get checked every few months, but for now all the prayers were answered and he is onto becoming healthy. We are all so relieved and I am sure his family is feeling blessed by all the support and the great outcome.

Second - Our great friends Dan and Andrea - they had their baby boy Deven Daniel @8 weeks early. Momma is doing well recovering from her C-Section and adjusting to being a bew mommy. Deven is a true miracle he was 5lbs. 4oz, was breathing on his own. He was in the hospital for a few weeks, but home now with his parents getting all the love he needs to be a happy healthy little boy. I could not be happier for them, they are going to be amazing parent and deserve this new addition to their family.
The proud parents gettting ready to bring Deven home.
Love that smirk, can't wait to meet him in person.

Third - Preparing for a Half Marathon - I am still working towards that goal. I had gotten up to 5 miles when Brooklyn got sick a few weeks ago and then I got it. It has been a NASTY cold, we both are just now getting over it little bit of a runny nose and cough but MUCH better than we were. Luckily Danny stayed healthy. So I had to take a break from the gym, getting up several times a nigth with a sick little one does not help mommy recover nor does it motivate me to go to the gym. I did go back yesterday and ran 3 miles before I had to cough and blow my nose, but I will be back at the gym again tomorrow and plan on taking a walk./run with my sisters on Saturday.

And in the post I also mentioned that because I had set this new goal I would probably end up pregnant, well I did. A few weeks ago I took a test and it was positive. We were excited and shocked since we had been trying for 8 months now and I was at the point of taking a break for a little while, talk to the doctor when I see her in June and go from there.
Then a week later I started spotting thinking OK I did this with Brooklyn it is normal then the next day it got worse, I had already been to the lab to have blood drawn the day before to see what my hormone levels were at since having the ectopic pregnancy we have to check these things out. I called the nurse she said to was to early for an ultrasound (6 weeks) and the lab test showed my levels low 17 normal is 20 so I took another blood test Sat to see if they doubled (normal pregnancy) or lowered then it is indeed a miscarriage. My levels have lowered but not completely but enough to say things are going to go back to normal on there own.

Side note this baby would have been only a week apart from when Brooklyn was born, Crazy!

I had a few very emotional days. I was very early along and feel fortunate that it happened now rather than later, but all the emotions from the ectopic roller coaster have come flooding back, something I was not prepared for. It has always been in the back of my mind but have not wanted to go there.Sorry to the family and friends that are reading this and have no idea, but it's not really something to bring up in a casual conversation and it was so early that we have just gone through this as a family. I am doing god now starting to get back to normal anxious to have  a few normal months and try again.

We took a walk along the river Friday night, it was good to get outside and enjoy my family.

Cheese, momma! So happy to be outside and near the water. It was a gorgeous day and lots of people were out enjoying the sunshine. The river is really high and fast moving right now I was a litle nervous with B near the water, but it was great to take a walk along the green belt.
She is our little climber she wants to climb on everything.

This weekend we are going to SLC to see my parents and Lucas get baptized. I am so excited to see my parents, it has a year since I have seen them and 18 months since Brooklyn and Danny has seen them. My mom is excited to see B and nervous that she will not remember them and be nervous, she might be shy at first but she will be happy as well. It will be a short turnaround trip but they are coming to visit in May so that will be even funner.

That is what has been going on here, keep looking at the post below as I update them some more from what we have been doing the last 2 months and its quite a bit of fun stuff.

Thank you to all our family and friends that read this, we miss you and love you!
