As I have been SLOWLY updated my blog from months past I keep seeing my post about Counting my Blessings and feel that I should update my blog readers about the things I posted about.
First - Papa Dale Chitwood had surgery and they removed his upper lobe on his lung it was indeed cancer. They were able to remove all of it and he is Cancer free, he has to continue to get checked every few months, but for now all the prayers were answered and he is onto becoming healthy. We are all so relieved and I am sure his family is feeling blessed by all the support and the great outcome.
Second - Our great friends Dan and Andrea - they had their baby boy Deven Daniel @8 weeks early. Momma is doing well recovering from her C-Section and adjusting to being a bew mommy. Deven is a true miracle he was 5lbs. 4oz, was breathing on his own. He was in the hospital for a few weeks, but home now with his parents getting all the love he needs to be a happy healthy little boy. I could not be happier for them, they are going to be amazing parent and deserve this new addition to their family.
The proud parents gettting ready to bring Deven home.
Love that smirk, can't wait to meet him in person.
Third - Preparing for a Half Marathon - I am still working towards that goal. I had gotten up to 5 miles when Brooklyn got sick a few weeks ago and then I got it. It has been a NASTY cold, we both are just now getting over it little bit of a runny nose and cough but MUCH better than we were. Luckily Danny stayed healthy. So I had to take a break from the gym, getting up several times a nigth with a sick little one does not help mommy recover nor does it motivate me to go to the gym. I did go back yesterday and ran 3 miles before I had to cough and blow my nose, but I will be back at the gym again tomorrow and plan on taking a walk./run with my sisters on Saturday.
And in the post I also mentioned that because I had set this new goal I would probably end up pregnant, well I did. A few weeks ago I took a test and it was positive. We were excited and shocked since we had been trying for 8 months now and I was at the point of taking a break for a little while, talk to the doctor when I see her in June and go from there.
Then a week later I started spotting thinking OK I did this with Brooklyn it is normal then the next day it got worse, I had already been to the lab to have blood drawn the day before to see what my hormone levels were at since having the ectopic pregnancy we have to check these things out. I called the nurse she said to was to early for an ultrasound (6 weeks) and the lab test showed my levels low 17 normal is 20 so I took another blood test Sat to see if they doubled (normal pregnancy) or lowered then it is indeed a miscarriage. My levels have lowered but not completely but enough to say things are going to go back to normal on there own.
Side note this baby would have been only a week apart from when Brooklyn was born, Crazy!
I had a few very emotional days. I was very early along and feel fortunate that it happened now rather than later, but all the emotions from the ectopic roller coaster have come flooding back, something I was not prepared for. It has always been in the back of my mind but have not wanted to go there.Sorry to the family and friends that are reading this and have no idea, but it's not really something to bring up in a casual conversation and it was so early that we have just gone through this as a family. I am doing god now starting to get back to normal anxious to have a few normal months and try again.
We took a walk along the river Friday night, it was good to get outside and enjoy my family.
Cheese, momma! So happy to be outside and near the water. It was a gorgeous day and lots of people were out enjoying the sunshine. The river is really high and fast moving right now I was a litle nervous with B near the water, but it was great to take a walk along the green belt.
She is our little climber she wants to climb on everything.
This weekend we are going to SLC to see my parents and Lucas get baptized. I am so excited to see my parents, it has a year since I have seen them and 18 months since Brooklyn and Danny has seen them. My mom is excited to see B and nervous that she will not remember them and be nervous, she might be shy at first but she will be happy as well. It will be a short turnaround trip but they are coming to visit in May so that will be even funner.
That is what has been going on here, keep looking at the post below as I update them some more from what we have been doing the last 2 months and its quite a bit of fun stuff.
Thank you to all our family and friends that read this, we miss you and love you!
