More Summer Fun

I tried to take a picture of her pig tails, but as you can tell she did not want me to do that. Can't wait for her to have more hair it's getting there.
Her favorite thing to do play with the water in our bathtub.
The library has been the place to go for us this summer for several reasons. It's Free, they have great reading summer program, they have great story-time and crafts. They even have parties once a week for the kids. It is great, we checked out books, movies, music, and computer games.
Doing the Limbo at the Under the Sea Dance party
B loved dancing and playing with her glow stick
Slip N Slide time, gotta love summer. We were doing some yard work and decided to all join in on the fun.
B was not so sure about it at first, but loved it when it was over
Boise River Float, this year we decided to buy a boat and some life jackets since we will be floating more than once this summer. We had a great time until the last 10 min when we saw a boy @ 10 stuck in a tube holding onto branches screaming for help. It was in a section that is fast flowing water and hard to see him. Danny got us over to the side and jumped out to get him. He about got taken away trying to get across the river's current. It was a bit nerve racking, others saw him and came to help the kid. He was saved, but would have been much better off if he had a life jacket on. Hopefully he learned his lesson. Meanwhile we were on a little island in the middle of the River and Danny had no way of getting back to us so I had to take the boat down the river with the girls. It was difficult to figure out how to control the boat, keep B in the boat and get us out of the current. Luckily Dani was not acting to afraid and she helped me hold B and push branches out of the way. It was quite the adventure Danny ran along the side of the boat as I tried to get to the side to let him in. It was quite comical looking back, but I was stressing. The worst part is we were about 10 min from the end of our 2 hr float when mayhem hit.
We stopped along the way to play on the beach for a little while
B was helping her daddy blow up the boat
Such the little helper
Safe on land enjoying a snow cone while Danny went to get the truck.

Adventures with 2 kids

Trying to find what a 10 yr old and a 19 month old can do together is a little difficult, but we managed to make the best of it. The first few days were a little tough on Dani she had never been away from home especially 2000 miles away where she could not just call home and get picked up. After the rough patch and tears we were able to have a great next few weeks. I am sure Dani got bored at times since we had to be home in the afternoon so Brooklyn could take a nap, good thing she is used to playing by herself. Here are a few pics of our adventures.
Discovery Science Center is Dani's favorite place to visit when she comes. This month was about electricity.
Go me, lifting my weight plus 25lbs.
Albertons shopping, making her Papa proud in the grocery store.
Bouncing balls were so fun until...she decided to try and eat them and....
mommy told her No! I had to take a picture of the tantrum she tried to have it lasted about 2 secs she was already on her way back up in this pic. I just ignore her and she realizes this gets me nowhere and stops. Welcome to the terrible 2's a little early.
Trying to give knuckles through the tube at the park

This summer we were able to enjoy Settler's Park it is about 20 min from us and so much fun. They have a Pirate ship themed play area and water features. Brooklyn loved it we got to go back the next week in the evening with Marin and Garrett. Garrett enjoyed it a lot too.
Dani wanted to play on the playground instead of the water so we did a little of both.
Another favorite part of Idaho for Dani is the shaved ice shacks always wants one.
