1st Professional Photo Shoot

This is 2 months overdue but not to be forgotten. May 24th Brooklyn turned 18 months so we decided to get some professional pictures taken. Danny has always taken them in the past and has done a great job, but we have a friend that he works out with is a photographer and was running a special. When we have gone to her house she has some amazing canvas prints on her walls of her girls and since we have a new house and large walls I wanted that too. We did these pictures twice since the first time it was 30 degrees and off and on raining so only a few pictures came out. The next shot was in the 70's so she was much happier.
These pictures in the purple dress was the colder day.

Those are just a few of the amazing Pictures that Kam Taylor took for us. They all came out so good that I havn't decided what to print and put on the wall.

The fun just keeps going...

Kristian flew in last week to hang out and bring Dani home. One of the things we enjoy doing is going to The Berry Ranch to pick berries. This time it was Rocky Mountain Blueberries they are a little smaller and sweeter than regular blueberries. Raspberries are late this year so hoping to pick those sometime soon. Unlike the Blackberries last summer Blueberries do not need as much water and are covered with netting so the birds do not attack them. It was a much better picking experience other than being hot.
B enjoyed picking them and eating them as fast as she could pick them. Luckily they are spray free so just a little dirt to add some more flavor.
Cooling off in the sprinklers after and pointing at the "wader".
We were supposed to go floating but one of the plugs that holds the air in the boat was as home and we did not discover that until we drove to the park so we decided to go the next day and go to Lucky Peak instead.
Jumping off the deck
Have to share this, because it was funny to everyone at the beach. This man was there with his family wearing this lovely shirt that has the Tasmanian Devil on it reading Horny Devil. Yep quite funny, you know you want to laugh. It turned out not what we planned but a nice afternoon in the water and sun.
We came home showered and played the Barnett Family's new came Cuponk! Kristian and I tried it out at the store so they gave us a coupon and Kris bought it. They give you a cup to ping pong balls and cards with different things to do with the ball to get it in the cup. I look so close, but not so close!
Nope missed!
Off the nose into the cup and she did it in the second try.
Remembered the parts this time and back on the river to float with Kristian this time. Dani was so happy to have her mom here.
Our little helper

Getting brave riding on the side with no help. She loves the water.
Taking a little beach break waving to all the other floaters going by.
So relaxed she fell asleep at the end. It was a great 3 weeks with Dani. Sometimes preparing us for the future having an older child, we had a great time and were glad Dani was able to over come her fear of being away from the parents. Seems strange not having to plan on doing something everyday, but glad to get back to working and cleaning the house. Thanks for making it a fun summer for us Barnett family, we love you and miss you. Anyone else want to visit after seeing all the fun we had? Another thing we did was go to the free movie on Wednesday it was a Veggie Tale movie B did fairly well had to go out once, but overall good experience and glad I did not pay for it.

Zoo Time

The zoo opened a new exhibit called Wallaby Walkabout. You got to walk around the area they were in and watch them eat and hop around. They are really friendly.
They were very interested in all the people around them.
Finally the little Jungle Cruise was open this time it was to see the Mangabey monkey's. You can see one in the trees to the right of Dani.
They had to wear life jackets since there are a few openings on the boat. It only goes 2 mph and is solar powered. Brooklyn was pointing to the "wader" (water)
The Penguins were so playful today they keep showing off diving in and out of the water. They would swim super fast past the glass. They were cute to watch.
The Zebra's strips are so amazing to me, don't know why.
They had several places around the zoo that you could feel animal skins this one was a grizzly bear. Look at that paw I would not like to see one of these in the wild.
Brooklyn wasn't to sure about feeding the goats. A big sheep would come over and ram the goats out of the way to get the food, that might have scared her a bit.
The one and only time she feed the animals
That is the bully sheep
Brooklyn loved this little tiger
What pretty pearls we found
The slide was a hit, Dani was very good about taking B up and down the slide.
Oh my what interesting looking birds we found.
Dani was a little nervous holding Brooklyn on the hump she thought they were going to fall
We had to drag Brooklyn away from this slide she kept running back to the stairs when they came down
Fun morning at the zoo now off to get some lunch.
