Shower in Cali

B getting ready to fly to California to surprise Auntie Cara for her Bridal Shower. Nana was overly generous and flew Brooklyn and I to California so that we could be with the family and share in the bridal shower festivites. Thank you nana
Of course the morning we get ready to leave B came in around 6 am I took her to the potty and put her back in bed. We had an early flight so I started to get ready, while in the shower I could hear her over the monitor moaning I had checked on her and she was asleep. Shortly after she came in our room Danny put her in our bed and came in holding her shirt, she had thrown up. Well it wasn't a fever, but we had to be gone in 20 minutes and she was throwing up. Luckily on our way to the airport she ate a banana and kept it down and seemed to be fine the rest of the flight.
On the other hand I started not feeling good. I had stayed up til 2 am trying to get caught up invoicing and purchase orders for Danny's business and got up at 6 am to get ready to go. Lack of sleep was not in my favor then the plane was boucing all the way to Reno, by the time we landed I was trying not to throw up myself. It ws not good, I told B mommy didn't feel good and that she needed to just sit still. Some older man sitting near me was nice and tried to help me.  Thankfully Brooklyn fell asleep the last hour of the flight and I started to feel a little better. Traveling is never fun for me, I get to worked up. We made it safely to Cali, had some lunch at Nana's and B and I took a much needed nap.  Mark and Cara came over to see their surprise, but they already knew so that was a bummer of a surprise.
Thursday we went to my mom's to play with cousins Jack, Brian and Shelby. Brooklyn liked the boys new toy.
She liked it even better when Brian would push her. They played great, Brooklyn now says I am going to see my buddy Brian soon.

Shelby bouncing!
Playing the piano with Papa
Brian was not to fond of Brooklyn's playing
Later the night we went to dinner with the Barnett's to celebrate Josh's birthday!! We went to BJ's and had great BBQ chicken pizza and a PIZOOKIE!! I miss BJ's such yummy food. Happy Birthday Josh you old man!
Oh, did you really want to eat your birthday dessert? Brooklyn took over Josh's dessert and could not contain her excitement with each bite, she never gets to have so much sugar at one time.

Friday Uncle Mark made it home early from work and picked us up to go swimming and spend the evening. Can you tell we had not seen the sun to much yet, mighty whitey!

Blowing bubbles
Dinner at the Whole Enchilada then to Lee and Lori's to see Damon and new baby sister Reese.

Cousin Carlisa and Brooklyn taking a tour of the gardens

The only present picture I got, mom was closer the get better shots. She got lots of fun things. I made her a book to put her receipes in, I forgot to take pictures of it, it turned out fun. When we go back for the wedding I need to take pictures for reference for future books. It was a beautiful shower, Liz you did a good job! After the shower we all went to Aunt Marshas for dinner and to spend some more time together.

Sunday after church and nap we walked to the park to play for a little while

Sliding

Nana would push her from the front and pretend to get her, she thought it was the greatest thing.
We made it home just in time for Grandpa Karl to be watering, Brooklyn thought it was a perfect idea to run threw it. It was a rough walk back and she was cranky so I let her run in her clothes as long as she was happy is all that mattered.
Grandpa got in on the action

Flying

We stopped by the Casida's to hang out with them for a little while before heading to my mom's to see the Shank family. Brooklyn thought is was quite fun to mop Jen's floors for her. It was a great visit, never enought time to see everyone, but glad I got to see a few people. Hopefully when we are down again in july for the wedding we can see those that we missed.

It was a great way to end our Memorial weekend, we spent most of it running errands and doing yard work. Danny and our neighbor Scott put 5 yards of rock in the backyard to get the front and back ready for curbing, Thank you Scott for helping, to bad we still need about 3 more yards to finish it. We did have a nice thank you dinner Sunday night with our neighbors, it was nice to spend time together and have adult conversations while the kids entertained each other.
