Happy 4th Birthday Brooklyn Rose

We had Brooklyn's birthday at the Barnett's house in warm sunny 80 degree California. This will probably be the warmest birthday she will ever have. Here is the back yard decorations

Auntie Chicken got a bounce house and pinata for the celebration
Nana got her a crown and shirt to go with the theme
Quick picture before the party started. It was so warm that I started swelling and having cramps so I took it easy.

Madison and Claire were great helpers during present time, they would read Brooklyn the cards.

She went from owning nothing Hello Kitty to bringing home a new wardrobe.
Just in case the bounce house was not enough jumping there was a trampoline in the backyard

Nans, Avery and Grandpa
Madison, Brooklyn, Claire and Shelby hanging out in the back of Uncle Marks truck
Hanging out with Auntie Chicken at the end of the evening. It was a long fun day. So glad we got to enjoy her birthday with our family in California.
I can not believe she is 4 already and will be a big sister finally. She is full of personality mostly that only her dad and I get to enjoy because she becomes to shy around others that she is not sure of. She is stubborn and totally independent. She knows exactly how to try her moms patience and is in the testing her limits stage all over again. It looks like 4 is gonna be a rough year for all of us. She can disobey and then turn around and be the silliest little girl she makes us laugh everyday. She says gil for girl which makes us laugh everytime. She is loving preschool, writing her name, learning new letters and taking a little break from ballet for a while. She has had a rough time this past month being in class without me and crying while there, not sure if it is because of the baby coming but we will resume something else this spring. She loves to dance and sing she puts on her ballet clothes almost everyday and changes her outfits multiple times a day as well. She is a total girly girl and we could not feel more blessed to have her in our family.

Play time in Cali

The 2 girls hanging out, Grandma Adair came over for dinner at Nana's house on Sunday. She enjoys being with the new babies

Grandma gave Brooklyn her Birthday card early.
On Monday we went to Downtown Disney with Nana these were outside the Lego store, so cool how they make these.
More inside the store
Then Nana could not resist and took Brooklyn to Build a Bear to make a bear for her birthday. She has been wanting to go the the one in the mall in Boise, but I kept telling her to wait til after her birthday and she could use her birthday money to get one. Good things for Nana's she fixed that.
Here she is helping to put the stuffing in the bear
Testing it out she wanted some of it taken out to make it softer
Now getting the Heart ready to go inside
She was grooming the bear after she was all sewn up
Then she got a Minnie Outfit, are we surprised she picked the Pinkest bear that happened to be made after Minnie Mouse?? No way this girl loves Pink and Minnie. Never guess what the bears name is?? Minnie
Thank you Nana for spoiling me with my new bear
She was so proud to carry around her bear and box.
We went and checked out the Disney Store then had ice cream and hot cocoa. It was a fun filled afternoon, B crashed out on the way home.
Brooklyn all set to camp out on Nana and Grandpa's bedroom floor since daddy's friend Dave was staying the night so they could go to San Diego for work.
Cousin Time at SkyZone near Auntie Melinda's house. Super fun place full of trampolines for the kids to jump around on. Cousin Shelby and B
Cousin's Brian and Jack taking a little break.
Having fun jumping in the foam pit
Cousin Evan was getting sweaty doing all that jumping
After jumping we got In-N-Out and went ot the park it was a beautiful day, could not have asked for a better day. we let the kids play for hours while the girls talked. They have such a great time together.
Some of the cousins when we were getting ready to leave. Jack, Evan, Brooklyn, Jace, Shelby and Brian.
It had been a long time since i had been able to just hang out with my sisters and talk and see the kids, we had a great time.
We went to Grandma Little's for Thanksgiving. Can not believe how big the shank boys are getting - Jace, Easton (will be graduating this year) and Evan stop growing up boys!
Shelby and Brooklyn they are so cute together!
The cousin crew that were at grandma's. I love how well they all get along even when they don't see each other very often.
After mom's we went to Auntie Marsha's house to see more family, when we got their everyone started leaving so we talked with cousins Jason and Stephanie. No pictures there. It was a good Thanksgiving filled with yummy food and great company.
I got to go Black Friday shopping with the sisters - Jeanette, Melinda and Jennifer. It had been a LONG time since I had done that with them. We left at 9 on Thanksgiving night and got home around 4am. It was a crazy busy night we ran into Kristian and her family at Target. I forgot how crazy and populated California is until you are shopping with everyone. The mall was crazy packed, Jeanette and Kristian stood in line at Target for 2 hrs to get a Wii and a camera. Makes me even more grateful for small town Boise when I go back to California.
After a long night I was only able to sleep til 7 then got up and started getting things ready for a work lunch for Danny with the Dejong's and Noah.
Noah is a son of a former classmate of Danny's in high school Melody. He has a heart defect and is in need of a heart transplant. Danny got in touch with his clients Mitchell Dejong who is a kid racer and has his own RC car made by Traxxas. They donated a car to Noah along with some posters and shirts. Noah was so excited to get his new gift.
Learning how to drive it on the lawn with his little brother watching.
After lunch they took it out to the street and Mitchell got his out too.
The boys had a lot of fun. It was a great afternoon watching how happy Noah was and looked up to Mitchell. Are thoughts and prayers are with Noah and his family that he will receive the heart he needs and be able to live a long happy life.
The rest of the afternoon was getting ready for Brooklyn's party on Saturday.
