Nana Visits and Birthday Fun!

Just a little side note: I don't know what it up, but every time I download photos they turn out grainy just on Blogger, is this happening to anyone else?

Ok, now for the post. Nana came for a visit it just so happened to be Danny's birthday that weekend so we had fun celebrating and just hanging out.

Playing at the Wheelers house before dinner.
Brooklyn always looking for a free ride and Garrett is a great sport to push her around.
Brooklyn thinking she is so cool playing in Garrett's car for a few days.

We went for a little hike up at Bogus it was a beautiful day!

We went downtown to walk along the river and go to the farmer's market.
After the market we ran into Cousin Zane working hard at the theater.
So I was lame and this was the only picture I took! Happy Birthday Danny. We had Grey's night so friends came over to eat some dinner and ice cream cake. It was a fun evening.

Swim Lessons

Brooklyn and I have been taking mommy and me swim classes at the YMCA since the end of August. It has been a ton of fun watching her learn new things and seeing how much she enjoys the water. She gets so excited when we get in the water she starts kicking and talking. Some of the others in the group say she is the happiest baby in the group. Brooklyn is the youngest in the group, but keeps up with the others no problem. These are some pictures from class, that Nana took when she was visiting. It was fun to show Nana B in the pool and to get pictures, thank you for coming.Learning to float on her back
B with Miss Summer getting ready to go under water
and now back out of the water. She does good not swallowing the water and is not afraid to get her head wet.

Always a ham for the camera!

Playing in the kiddie pool before swim lessons
My big girl waiting on the bench while I get dressed!

Just a little Video of Brooklyn doing her favorite thing "Kicks and Scoops"

It's all about Brooklyn

Ok, so some of the pictures are out of order, but you get the idea. Just a few moments that were captured by the camera. She is growing up way to fast, can't believe she will be a 1 year old next month. Crazy!
Attacking the corn, she loved chewing on the cob.
B's favorite thing to do be on Daddy's shoulders!
Yes, the Wienermobile was in town and Danny wanted us to go see it so after swimming we went to Fred Meyer and took some pictures and got a sticker! Weak I was hoping for a whistle or something fun, just a sticker and a coupon.
SO how does this thing work?
Oh, so happy to be riding my new toy. Thanks mom and dad this is cool!
Brooklyn so excited to be helping Daddy put together her new toy. She always wants to help him when he pulls out the screwdriver.
B thinking she is so cool driving with daddy
Garrett pushing Brooklyn around the house in his car! When they are both happy they play cute together!

Picinic and a Hike!

Another Day during Labor Day weekend, Danny decided he wanted to go hiking so we went downtown to Hyde Park were they have some trails in the hills. It sounded like a great idea nice picnic lunch and a little hike, lets drag our friends out too. We shortly discovered that we are out of shape more then we already knew. But it was fun being outdoors for a few hours. On top of the hill, the clouds were great that day.
The Wheeler Family, Porter is there dog. They are smart with the proper hiking pack for G.
Few of the park and the city
Few of the city buildings and trees.

Afternoon at Lcuky Peak

Our little B always inspecting everything..
then eating everything! Yummy sand!
One of the days during Labor day weekend we went up to Lucky Peak for the afternoon with the Wheeler's just play on the beach and in the water.

Matt and Garrett
The Wheeler's playing in the water.

Bronco Nation!

The boys got to escape the family for the evening and have a little fun at BSU. Richard scored 2 tickets to the Bronco's vs. Oregon Ducks game on Sept 3rd from his company. This is one of the biggest game of the season playing there rivalry team. You might have seen on the news this was the game that the BSU player got punched in the face at the end of the game and the Oregon player got suspended for the rest of the season.
Danny has been wanting to go to the games since we moved here, but tickets are hard to get so when he got the invite he was excited to go. It is fun to live in an area that college games are the BIG deal to go to. People turn CRAZY when it is game time. Almost every major store sells Bronco stuff, amazing things that people buy and do to there vehicles to show there PRIDE. For this game people were in the parking lot at 5 am to save there spot for tailgating at game time. One of Ricky's co-workers has a van all decked out with big screen tv in the back, a cooler with soda taps, and all done up in BSU colors.

The Bronco riding in to bring out the players!
The Band, nice formation :) Every game and seat section has a color theme so you must dress according to the section you are seated in. Of all colors they got ORANGE, so I had to do the game day hunt for an orange shirt not easy to find, but JC Penney's saved the day. They couldn't go the there first game and not fit in or get attacked for messing up the colors. SO just a little something I thought was interesting: If you look at the picture above see the different colored sections orange, blue, white, orange etc... they are colored because of people's shirts, the seats are not colored like that. Good Job people for wearing the right color. So overall Danny said it was not the greatest played game, but they WON. He had a great time, thanks Ricky for inviting him.

More Summer fun!

How I forgot to post these I do not know, but here they are! This August when the Barnett Family came to visit we got to go white water rafting, it was a blast! We had never done it before and that morning it was raining and ugly looking so we almost backed out. We are so glad we decided to go anyway. We dropped Brooklyn off to play with her cousins at Ricky and Steph's for the day, thank you for watching her. Once we got to the rafting place about 45 min.'s away it looked like it had not rained there so we were excited. They outfitted us in some fabulous wet suits ( we all looked like some happily feed seals :), but we were so glad we had those suits on the water was chilly! We had the best instructor Eric, he made the experience even better.
This is one of the rapids we hit, little Dani is "riding the bull" in the front of the raft and is completely covered by the wave. I think Josh and I swallowed about a gallon of water on this rapid.
Oh, there she is! Dani did great she held on tight and sat up front for most of the way. At one point Krisitan jumped in the water and said it was not cold so later Josh and I jumped in. What a difference a few miles down the river makes, it was FREEZING like take your breath away cold. We were pretty much the only boat that jumped in and got to do some fun little tricks along the way. It was a day of good times and happy memories. If you havn't done this you should.
This was about a 3 hour tour and tons of fun! So if anyone wants to some visit next summer we have to plan on doing this!
