Summer is here!

Brooklyn got her second haircut, since she is still pulling our her hair on one side an gonna be in her Uncle Mark's wedding I wanted to try and get it looking better before then. teh hair dresser did a little braid I was so excited never tried that before.
And we decided to do bangs so it looks like she has a little more hair.
Being silly with her Mr. Potato head glasses.
Summertime is finally here so that means yard work. We got some curbing put in and added 10yards of rock to the planters to feel in where the curbing was added.
Here it is around the front of the house. It is brown, stapped concrete.
We expanded this and change the shape a little, we need to add more plants and flowers.

Along the back was wher most of the rock went since we brought it out a few feet. I am excited to start planting in the back now too, bring on the color.
Little closer shot of the back. It turned out so nice and really finishes the yards off. It will be easier to keep weeds out too.

Summer time fun had started we have gone to the parks, joined library summer reading program, taking kids moves and pulled out the swimming pool.

She would get so into getting ready to jump in ...

Splash! Love the sunshine we try adn soak up as much as we can everyday! I am sure in a few weeks I will not be liking the heat, so I am enjoying it now.

Daddy's Day!

Brooklyn and her daddy having a little fun!
I was trying to get a picture to use for father's day, but it was a last minute idea, oh well!

Cleaning up after finger painting a gift for daddy. She wasn't quite sure at first, but got into once it was OK to be messy with the paint.
For Father's Day weekend we got to have a little time to ourselves while B was at Ricky and Steph' house for a sleepover. We were supposed to get caught up on work and instead we played a little, went shopping, ran errands, most of all enjoyed being able to do what we wanted without battling a toddler and working the day around naptime. Thank you Ricky and Stephanie for the time off, it came at just the right time. Mommy needed a break. Danny got to golf and we went to the Wheeler's for a great dinner.

I guess Brooklyn and her daddy were having a little fun with the camera.

My turn
Brooklyn was so excited to make, wrap and give her daddy his present. She helped him and was excited to show him her handprint.

Deciding where to hang it on the wall.  This is what it said -

Sometimes you get discouraged

Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls

But every day I'm growing --
I'll be grown some day
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away
So here's a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small

I thought this was appropriate since earlier this month I purchased Mr. Clean magic erasers to clean marks on the wall from little missy that daddy kept pointing out.
Brooklyn and I could not have asked for a better daddy. He is a great father to Brooklyn, helps me with learning patience and works really hard so that I can stay at home and be a mommy to B. Although at times I am jealous of their daddy daughter relationship since he seems to get to just play with her more rather than discipline, daddy is so much more fun. I hope Brooklyn grows up to have an amazing relationship with her daddy. Thank you Danny for being a supportive, fun, encouraging and loving daddy to Brooklyn, she loves her daddy.
I am not extremely close with my dad, but I know when he calls me sweetheart and gives me a big hug I melt, I miss talking to my dad since he has lost his hearing it is harder to communicate with him, but I am working on emailing or writing more often so that he knows I am thinking of him. I am grateful that I have my father in my life and for his example of hard work, patience and dedication to everything he does. Thank you dad for always having a good listening ear.

Camping

We went camping with the Wheelers to Crouch, it is about 1.5hrs from our house and so beautiful. Matt and Marin got a new trailer ans they invited us to stay with them in their  luxury suite instead of our shack of a tent. This was the view of the lake in our campground.
Going for a walk Friday night.

Going up was fun..

Not so sure about going down.

Reagan was enjoying her ride on mommy
Having a potty trained girl is great until you take them camping and they have to go about every 10 min. then walking back and forth to the potty gets old. Good thing we brought our portable chair that the arms fold down so you can use it as a stand. B loved the idea of peeing outside, until she saw Garrett just standing and peeing. She wanted to do the same thing good thing we caught her a few times before she actually peed standing up. Of course everytime one went the other had to go too.

So here they are potty time! Don't worry I sensored Garretts booty.
Saturday morning the girls chilling before breakfast.
Garrett's ready to eat.

Danny learning how to cook in the dutch oven. We need to practice more.
View from our drive up to the hot springs.

Playing in the kiddie side of the hot springs pool. They have a few pools aroudn soem that are right in the river. It was so fun to be in the middle of the mountains swimming in bath water.

Reagan playing on the playground

Views of the water/rapids on our way back down to the campground

Danny and B doing a little fishing

I think daddy has a fishing buddy.

Kiddos enjoying their snacks.

Porter wanted a picture too.

B playing ladder ball by herself, she was quite proud of herself.

Matt the fire builder.

Danny made foil hats for the kids. Garrett took his off before I could get a picture.

Smores time! Matt was an expert at browning them just right. We tried a new way - banna split add a few slices of banana with the the chocolate and marshmellow so yummy!

Group shot before we headed out Sunday morning. It was a great weekend turned out to be great weather. Thanks Matt and Marin for letting us join you in your trailer we had a great time.
