Home Sweet Home!

We finally made it home and it is such a great place to be. You don't realize how much you miss things at home tell you are gone for a while. Now Danny doesn't have to roam the neighborhood looking for something to do. I do have to say it is nice to be missed and appreciated for what you do at home. It was great to see Danny and for Brooklyn to see her daddy again. They just played on the floor when we got home. Danny had a surprise for us, a bike trailer that converts into a stroller. So much fun now we can go for bike rides along the river and around the neighborhood with Brooklyn. She wasn't to sure at first, but she just sits back and looks around, its fun wathcing her discover new things.

Brooklyn had her 6 month check up Tuesday when we got back, she is growing. Thanks to solid foods she is now 14lbs. 7oz's in the 25% range and 25 3/4 in. in the 50% range. I think she stores most of her weight in her cheeks. She had fun shots again and screamed, probably did not help that I woke her from a deep sleep to go and by the time everything got done she was hungry. So glad the 9 month visit does not involve shots.

Our little B is 6 months already, she turned 6 months on Sunday our last day in California. We went to church then to watch Easton give a talk in his ward. He did a great job. All the family came over for a BBQ it was a great day.

Thank you Aunt Melinda for my pretty dress. Like always B got spoiled while we were there if it wasn't kisses, lots of attention from anybody that walked by, it was clothes and accessories.

Ryan got Hitched!

Add Image So the pictures are put of order, but you get the idea. A long time friend practically family member Ryan Chitwood got married at Laguna Hotel in Laguna Beach. I was glad I was able to be there especially since I missed JJ's wedding earlier this year. It was fun to be with the family for the afternoon. Brooklyn was great during the whole thing especially considering she was tired.
Me, Jen and B outside the reception room, hard to tell, but the ocean waves are crashing behind us. I am lame and should have taken Brooklyn out to the sand considering this would be here first time at the beach.

Easton throwing some heat closing the game - can't believe how tall he is now, they grow up way to fast.

I must apologize to those that I did not visit, I had great intentions, but failed. We just kinda hung out at my mom's and relaxed. Brooklyn was such a great sleeper while we were there she would take 2-3 hour naps twice a day, I had a hard time breaking her schedule up. Perhaps when we come down in July and have our own car we can stop by and see more people. As many of you know it is hard to plan around naptime, I will try to do better. Sarah thank you for coming over to see us, I know that you were not felling well and it was hard to find time, but good to see you.

California Part 1

As many of you may know Brooklyn and I went to California for 13 days without Danny. I had to attend the Dental Convention to keep my CE Units up and then we stayed for Ryan Chitwoods wedding. It was a long time away from home, hubby (daddy), and living out of a suit case. On the flight down B did great she slept for the last part it was very nice. I was batteling an ear infection hoping the flight would be kind to my ears and it was much better than it could have been.

This was the first time leaving Brooklyn with a babysitter all day! Of course she was great and I was having anxiety and constantly worried if all was OK. She got to enjoy spending time with Grandma Little, Aunt Jeanette and Cousins Brian and Jack. Papa was so kind and drove me to and from the convention so I did not have to deal with parking it was fabulous, thanks dad! Usually when we go to California we stay with Nana (danny's mom) so it was good to spend time at my parnets house. Thank you mom and Jeanette for all your help with Brooklyn. And thank you Jen for watching B on Saturday afternoon for me. It is so great to have so much help from everyone!

As you can tell from the pics below that Brooklyn was constantly entertained by her cousins at all times, it was so fun to see them all wanting to play with the baby.

Cousin Brian and B reading books, they were buddies while we were there very cute!

Mommy's Day!

Brooklyn is thinking my parents do weird things sometimes! Our attempt at taking a picture from above. (gotta love my 4 chins so attractive!)
Swinging with my buddy Garrett

So my first official Mother's Day was pretty good considering I was in Urgent Care the day before and have been trying to get rid of a bad cold and double ear infections. Danny made me breakfast and B gave me a cute card with a letter about me being her mommy and a kit to make a stepping stone with her feet prints. It was a beautiful day in the 70's blue skies hardly any wind, just gorgeous. We went to the park and had a little picnic lunch with our friends it was great to be out in the fresh air lying on the grass spending time together. We took Brooklyn on the swings for the first time. She is a little small for the swings, but we just padded it with a blanket and she was good to go. I think she wasn't so sure at first, but quickly began laughing and smiling. Daddy was pushing her kinda fast and high, but she loved it anyways. That was the extend of my adventure for the day, I was so tired when we got home that I took a nap as soon as we got back. Danny made a nice dinner and B went to bed early that night. Overall it was a very relaxing day, always good to spend time with great friends and as a family. I am truely blessed to have such a happy healthy baby, she brings me so much joy.

Here is a little video of Brooklyn and Garrett swinging!

Rollercoaster please stop!

Well since the middle of April I have felt like we have been on a rollercoaster ride. We got in late Wednesday night and my parents drove up Thursday. No my house was not clean and we had NO food in the fridge. Sorry mom and dad. I am usually so prepared.
So the weekend began going grocery shopping, laundry, unpacking(why when I just leave again next week), visiting Ricky and family. I thought I was fighting off a cold, but it decided to stay. I have been pretty miserable the past few days, I guess if it does not get better I will have to go to the doctors. I just pray the Brooklyn and Danny do not get it! I am so ready to feel better and to just do nothing I do not know when that will happen to much to do before B and I are off to California for 12 days. Oh the life of a mom always Go, Go, Go and she is not in school yet. I am excited for our camping trip this June and visiting family in Oregon in July sounds peaceful.

Happy early Birthday Uncle Ricky! Ricky was holding B while opening presents and blowing out the candles, she was not to sure about all the excitment from the cousins helping dad open gifts.

I took a picture of us, turns out I do not have many of just us together.

Grandma and Papa after church

Playing with my friend Garrett, of course before this picture they were hlding hands playing together. They have just discovered each other so fun to watch.

Dad can not rest when he sees a lawn that needs to be mowed so most of Friday we all tackled the yard at different times. Danny's pants were covered in grass and dad was mowing with a heat pack on his neck, they were serious about getting the yard done.
